WOLF TALK

As we are well into the first half of the season, we'd like to share a few important reminders:

𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀

𝗡𝗼 𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆:

• For safety reasons, players must not wear any jewellery during games.

𝗡𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀:

• This is both a safety and a distraction issue. A ball rolling onto the court can cause injuries and the noise is disruptive to players, referees, scorers, staff and spectators.

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀:

• The seats next to the score benches are for players when they are subbed off.

This helps coaches manage subs efficiently.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 & 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀:

• If your referee is wearing a green lanyard, this means they are under 18 and still developing as a referee.

• You must never approach referees, especially those with a green lanyard, as they are children learning the role.

• If you have any concerns about a referee, coach, or spectator behavior, please come to the WBA office, on court 2 during the game.

We have a competition supervisor and a referee supervisor at every game to assist.

Issues cannot be addressed once the game has finished.

• 𝗡𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗳, 𝗡𝗼 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆; we need referees for games to happen, so let’s support them as they learn and grow in their roles.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀

If you need assistance during games, or just want to say hello, our Competition Supervisors in the WBA office are:

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆: Michelle

𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆: Sara

𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆: Adrian

They may swap shifts to help each other out when needed, but it’s nice to know their names!
